How Bail Works
At the time of arrest, the defendant is booked and bail is set. Once the charges are verified, the process of posting bond begins. The bonding agency will take out a security against the defendant’s assets or the assets of the person posting bond. After the bond is reached, the defendant is released. A court appearance is scheduled sometime thereafter.
Emergency Bail Bonds is the liaison between you, the defendant and the court. As the bonding company, we need basic information to start the process for release. Among what’s needed is the defendant’s name, date of birth, the name of the jail or the city where the defendant is incarcerated. Only a small portion of the total amount set by the court is due to secure the release of your loved one.
